Meet The Team

Adrian De La Cruz
My work is a reflection of life as it happens—blending the raw emotions of personal experience with the ever-changing influence of pop culture, Western iconography, and everyday moments. Using acrylic, oil, and aerosol paint, I create pieces that capture fleeting feelings, shaped by the music playing, the scenes unfolding in magazines, outdoors, and the energy of my surroundings.
Each piece is an intuitive response to the present moment, allowing color, form, and movement to convey nostalgia, joy, and even loss. By layering familiar imagery with expressive strokes, I invite viewers to connect with their past—rekindling memories of childhood, simpler times, and shared cultural experiences.
At its core, my art is about connection. I want people to see a part of themselves in my work, to feel a sense of warmth, and to remember the good times that shaped them.
A life of instability and poverty is not enough to keep Adrian De La Cruz from having a successful career in art. Surrounded by vibrant splashes of acrylic paint sprayed across canvas, wooden frames, and studio furniture, Adrian contemplates his next stroke across a vibrant
character set in front of a fierce vortex of swirling colors. Bold black strokes reveal a darker side to the playful imagery. At first glance, his play on aquas, intense reds, and pops of yellow incite cheerful visuals of pop icons, but at a second glance, more is revealed. There’s confusion, discord, turmoil, and pain. Take another look and see the portrait contort into a caricature. Inspired by his older brother, Adrian observed his sketches on paper and picked up ideas for his works. An outgoing, well-known student in high school, he never revealed his love of art to his closest friends. Attending seven different high schools and moving in and out of over 20
homes throughout his childhood, his only constant in life was his sketchbook. It wasn’t until later in life that he intensified his calling for the canvas and took to the bars of San Antonio’s First Fridays to paint live in front of strolling audiences. Sales of his pop culture depictions and other icons led to commissions. Commissions on canvas led to murals and city-wide recognition.
Among his more notable works include a commissioned portrait of country singer George Strait for his collection; a wrap-around 15 by 150-foot LGBTQ Pride mural for Zebraz; and working with the San Antonio Spurs Hype Squad designing and creating their shoes and uniforms. Canvas isn’t the only surface Adrian imprints his ideas. Sneakers, denim jackets, and purses have been in constant demand. His art has been part of art exhibitions in San Antonio and New York City but his favorite place to be is in his art studio contemplating his next stroke of the brush. Black streaks across the
canvas and his fingers tell more than their initial impression.

At the time of what expression is flowing, I imagine with unlimited perspectives. Like a fabric for an occasion, I select the perfect fit for my ideas. A variety of mediums from textured paste to object art, acrylic-based paint, a variety of paints and pigments, oil paint, resin applications, and clay sculpted support will be seen in my paintings. Artwork is created on canvas, panels, and other various structures that include Dimensional works especially seen in the "Self Ease" series. Other works on wood panels, photo print, collage, or video art.
In other visuals, montage art that fuses my paintings with video and photography is printed or projected for solo exhibitions. Installation and designs from a variety of structures including metal sheet installation boards and resin.
I merge styling and jewelry/hair accessory design using beads and wires with art and photo/ video art in a fashion meets art series I call Fem Electric.
My interactive art is a conceptual art series known as visual poetry and art therapy where words are individually written and adhered to the floor using masking tape and acrylic paint.
I enjoy painting what I think about, have experienced, or emotionally feel through my artwork. Combining thoughts with emotion through colors and textures brings my art to life. I'm an eclectic artist and a creative risk-taker who processes ideas on unlimited platforms which is an important part of my vision.
I'm fascinated by human connection and behavior. A stronghold in my life to overcome was losing my mom to cancer when I was 22, and recently the loss of a young family member battling "Recovery". The arts have guided me into moving forward, and love each day. I move forward with gratitude and hope that I too can rise like the sun. While some of my art series depict moments of life from challenges of my inner struggles, healing, and the evolving power of reinventing self-discovery, I also hope to find a connection with the viewer through the fascinating world of art and expression. Other works are in the present moment of living a life of joy, tuned into faith with possibilities and abundance.
Many works are described as abstract, modern, experimental, contemporary, art deco, pop art, fantasy escapism, and romance art.
I'm further exploring experimental art -film- sound, performance art, and photo art. My current exhibitions are progressively shown independently including invitations to pop-up events and galleries throughout the city. I curate and host pop-up gallery events called "Modern Eclipse". These platforms provide an outlet for me to create performance art, art direction photos, designs, experimental art film, and art meets fashion creativity. Additional media works include video editor for music videos and visuals for the stage for S.A. and ATX rock and alternative bands.
I'm proud to announce that I'm an FY25 Artist Grantee Recipient through the City of San Antonio Arts and Culture.

I start my creations with a fun mix of flowy inks and expressive markings. I use a variety of pens, markers, and artist-grade crayons. Then I use a variety of spray paint, acrylic, and mediums to create a dripping effect. After rendering the piece with acrylics, I finalize the Majority of my paintings with oil paint for a more rich color profile.
My name is Jaz, and I'm a mixed-media artist and oil painter. I'm a disabled veteran, medically separated from the United States Air Force, and now I'm chasing my childhood dream of becoming a full-time artist.
Painting is my meditation and brings me so much joy. This new life outside the military has allowed me to re-discover my creativity and individuality, which I pour into every piece I create.
I love to paint women in mysterious, ethereal scenes that reflect our true divine selves. I'm inspired to create a world where women dare to be wild and dream beyond society's expectations. The women I paint live their truth and seek the validation of no one but fate itself. They have overcome so much and have finally found peace within themselves. I love challenging the traditional figures that are typically painted. I love challenging myself by experimenting with different styles, colors, and motifs. I'm also inspired by Historical artists, modern art, and Techniques I've never tried.
In many traditions, animals represent different archetypes and symbols. To me, they also represent signs from the universe. Each animal can be a reminder to be strong and resilient.

Jewel Butterfly Studio
I consider myself a potter and make functional ceramics. I have just started to branch into some sculptural and fun decorative pieces too, but mostly functional. I specialize in making planters with matching saucers. Plants are a huge part of my life and I was so tired of finding beautiful planters then having to use plastic saucers, or finding a somewhat matching plate, but nothing that looked nice together. All of my planters come with a matching saucer. My trinket dishes, vases, and mugs with fancy handles are popular as well. I love butterflies, and bright colors, and am very much motivated by nature, especially in my youth in Washington and Alaska. I am also continually learning and adding to my repertoire of skills. Roadrunner Ceramics and Eye of The Dog Art Center host some of the industry’s most talented artists in their workshops where I have learned many new techniques. I have been applying them to my latest work like sgraffito and hand-building which has allowed me to enhance my mostly round and curvy style.
In July of 2019 I took a ceramics class with good friends and fell in love with the feeling of clay in my hands. As they say, the rest is history! After several years of making pottery my husband told me how much he loved my pottery, but asked what was I going to do with it all? After a lot of thought and subsequent research in testing for food safety, and other factors important to functional ceramics, I decided to open my Etsy shop and pursue selling at local markets and fairs. I am so flattered any time someone loves one of my handmade pieces so much that they want it for themselves. It keeps me motivated to create more.
